I might have told you that I do not love birds. However I like to see them and of course to make quilts with birds. Therefore, let me show you one more, that was made last month. One woodpecker!
Μπορεί να σας το έχω ξαναπεί, αλλά τα πουλιά δεν τα πολυαγαπώ. Ωστόσο, μου αρέσουν πολύ να τα βλέπω και φυσικά να τα φτιάχνω. Σας δείχνω λοιπόν ακόμα ένα που έφτιαξα. Ένας δρυοκολάπτης αυτή τη φορά!
And of course, the main actor on this scene is the small mouse on the botton left corner!
Και φυσικά ο πρωταγωνιστής σε αυτή τη σκηνή είναι ο ποντικούλης κάτω αριστερά!

This is lovely, Mania! The leaf veins you added were also very clever. Only paper piecing could render this wonderful woodpecker and those leaves in such detail.
We have Pileated woodpeckers here. I was so excited when we moved here the first time I heard one chattering as it flew overhead. As time has passed (10 years) their family has increased in number from a pair to several pairs of them in the woods outback!
