The quilt is moving on! Clou No 6. Relatively easy. You may find the details here. I would just like to tell you that I cut the squares to triangles by putting them diagonally on a mat’s line so that the diagonal would be on the line I cut.

Προχωράει το πάπλωμα! Κλου Νο 6. Σχετικά εύκολο. Τις λεπτομέρειες θα τις βρείτε εδώ. Να σας πω μόνο ότι αφού έκοψα τα τετράγωνα, τα έβαζα αρκετά μαζί πάνω σε μια γραμμή της επιφάνειας, με τρόπο ώστε η διαγώνιός τους να είναι πάνω στη γραμμή κι έκοβα.

I arranged everyting on my left side to be able to take them easily since I do not use pins.

Τα τακτοποίησα μετά δίπλα μου ώστε να τα πιάνω εύκολα γιατί δεν βάζω καρφίτσες.

Of course, I chain pieced again, which means that I put the one pair after the other without lifting the presser foot. It was more conveninent for me to have on top the blue/brown piece, to see where exactly was the peak. If everything is ok, your stitch should be exactly on the peak. But since nothing everything is always ok, this was my way to check and correct accordingly.

Φυσικά έραψα πάλι αλυσιδωτά, δηλαδή το ένα πίσω από το άλλο χωρίς να σηκώνω το ποδαράκι. Με βόλευε να έχω από την επάνω μεριά το καφέ/μπλε κομμάτι, για να βλέπω πού είναι η κορυφή. Εάν όλα είναι σωστά, το γαζί πρέπει να περνάει ακριβώς στην κορυφή. Αλλά έλα που δεν είναι πάντα, οπόταν το χειριζόμουν ανάλογα.

I ironed and then trimmed just the small trinagles. Then I put them in their box and I was happy to look at them! It is amazing how the whole top fits in a box like this!

Σιδέρωσα και μετά έκοψα μόνο τα τριγωνάκια που περίσσευαν και μετά τα τακτοποίησα στο κουτί τους και τα καμάρωνα! Είναι φοβερό πώς χωράει ένα ολόκληρο πάπλωμα σε αυτό το κουτί!

And then I started with clou 7. Even easier. You may find the instructions here. The only piecing needed here is to join all geese into pairs.

Και μετά έπιασα το κλου 7. Ακόμα πιο εύκολο αυτό. Τις οδηγίες θα τις βρείτε εδώ. Το μόνο που χρειαζόταν ήταν να ενώσουμε τις χήνες που είχαμε φτιάξει στα προηγούμενα κλου.

I arranged them again on my left so that I could easily take them. I put them opposite, the brown geese from the wrong side and the orange from right side.

Τις τακτοποίησα δίπλα μου με τρόπο που και πάλι να μπορώ να τις παίρνω εύκολα για να ράβω χωρίς καρφίτσες. Τις είχα βάλει μύτη με μύτη, τις καφέ από την ανάποδη και τις πορτοκαλιές από την καλή.

I was taking the brown, puttting them right sides together with the orange and then off to sew them,

Έπαιρνα την καφέ, την έβαζα πάνω στην πορτοκαλιά και τσουπ στη μηχανή.

 

 

 

 

Of course, I chain pieced again.

Φυσικά και πάλι έραψα αλυσιδωτά το ένα ζευγάρι μετά το άλλο

and again the stitch was on the peak of the geese and I can hardly believe that the picture I am showing you is from the two geese that were not sewn well and while ironing them, I replaced them. But since I have not got other picture, I am going to leave it. Please ignore them! I am pretty sure that your seam allowance will be perfect!

και πάλι το γαζί ερχόταν στην κορυφή της χήνας και δεν το πιστεύω τώρα που βλέπω τις φωτογραφίες ότι απ’όλες τις χήνες 2 είχαν στραβά γαζιά και αυτές έβγαλα, που στο τέλος τις αντικατέστησα. Αγνοήστε τις παρακαλώ. Εσάς τα γαζιά σας θα είναι ωραία και καλά, είμαι σίγουρη!

Iron again and my pairs are ready. In the box and let’ s move to the next clou which is blocks joining.

Σίδερο κι έτοιμα τα ζευγαράκια. Και πάλι τακτοποίηση στο κουτί και πάμε τώρα στο επόμενο κλου να φτιάξουμε τα τετράγωνα.
