Choose your blocks from curved, triangle, wonky, star, twisted, classic. You can create variations by adding appliqué. Then choose your layout, there are way too many options to mention! First of all let me show you my collection for this challenge. It is the Zen Funk collection sent to me in my last box by Island Batik for their Ambassadors Program. Black and white that it is not my favorite but I wanted to challenge my self.

Πρώτα απόλα να σας δείξω τη συλλογή μου. Είναι η συλλογή Zen Funk που μου έστειλαν στο τελευταίο μου πακέτο τα Island Batik για το πρόγραμμά τους των Ambassadors . Το ασπρόμαυρο δεν είναι ο αγαπημένος μου συνδυασμός αλλά ήθελα να το δοκιμάσω.

Log cabin the block that neither is my favorite block except from the wonky version. Therefore I designed a wonky table runner.

Ούτε η Log cabin είναι αγαπημένο μου στοιχείο εκτός κι αν είναι ακανόνιστη. Ετσι σχεδίασα ένα ακανόνιστο ράνερ.

I firstly cut some Hamsa symbols white and black from the correspondent fabrics and two triangles of the solid for the background and several quadrilateral shapes for the centers of my blocks. I glued the Hamsa on the opposite color of solid fabric.

Πρώτα έκοψα μερικά χεράκια-σύμβολα που λέγονται Hamsa – άσπρα και μαύρα από τα αντίστοιχα υφάσματα και δύο τρίγωνα αλλά και μερικά τραπεζοειδή σχήματα για το κέντρο των στοιχείων μου. Κόλλησα τα χεράκια πάνω σε ύφασμα αντίθετου χρώματος.

I then cut several strips of all the remaining fabric (various sizes).

Μετά έκοψα μερικές λωρίδες από όλα τα υπόλοιπα υφάσματα σε διαφορετικά μεγέθη.

I started sewing strips around the center as we do for normal Log cabin.

Αρχισα να ράβω γύρω από τα κεντρικά μου κομμάτια όπως κάνουμε σε μια παραδοσιακή Log cabin.

I was also cutting them so that I make my shape more wonky.

Ταυτόχρονα έκοβα για να κάνω τα σχήματά μου όσο πιο ακανόνιστα.

It was a process on the go. I was sewing and cutting and adjusting.

Ήταν κάτι που γινόταν όσο το έραβα. Δεν ήξερα ακριβώς πού θα βγεί. Εραβα, έκοβα, προσάρμοζα εκεί που το ήθελα.

I then sandwitched it using the ideal batting for table runners by Hobbs that is the Thermore.

Μετά σαντουιτσάρισα χρησιμοποιώντας την ιδανική για μένα βάτα για τέτοις κατασκευές που μου είχε στείλει η Hobbs και αυτή είναι η Thermore.

I quilted on my Juki Q 2010-L in straight lines in some seams and binded using a solid black.

Καπιτονάρισα στη Juki Q 2010-L με το walking foot σε ευθείες γραμμές σε κάποιες από τις ραφές και έβαλα ρέλι από ένα μονόχρωμο μαύρο.

Needless to tell you that I ironed everything with my new Oliso, sent to me in my last box. I have also made a new iron board cover using Island Batik fabrics to honor it.

Περιττό να σας πω ότι σιδέρωσα τα πάντα με το καινούργιο μου σίδερο Oliso, που και αυτό ήταν στο τελευταίο μου πακέτο. Και φυσικά για να το τιμήσω, άλλαξα και το κάλυμμα της σιδερώστρας μου φυσικά με ύφασμα Island Batik.

My needles were Schmetz needles as always.

Οι βελόνες που χρησιμοποίησα ήταν φυσικά Schmetz.

If you love B and W maybe you will love this one as well. Not bad at all! Final size 2.40 yds * 32″ ( in the largest point).

Εάν σας αρέσουν τα Α/Μ μπορεί να σας αρέσει και αυτό. Δεν έγινε και άσχημο! Τελικό μέγεθος 2,20μ. επί 80 εκ. (στο φαρδύτερο σημείο του).
