This is one of my favorite challenges. Make a 3d object. Specifically a pattern by Annie’s.com. This time I chose the “Room with a view pattern“.

Αυτή είναι μια από τις αγαπημένες μου προκλήσεις. Να φτιάχνω κάτι 3σδιάστατο. Ειδικότερα ένα πατρόν της εταιρίας by Annie’s.com. Αυτή τη φορά διάλεξα το πατρόν “Room with a view“.

By Annie.com and Island Batik people prepared a nice package including everything I needed to make the three boxes. I had also prechosen the fabric sent to me. They were fabrics from the Silverado Canyon collection by Kathy Engle.

Οι εταιρίες By Annie.com και Island Batik μας ετοίμασαν ενα όμορφο πακέτο που περιείχε οτιδήποτε χρειαζόμαστε να για να φτιάξουμε τα τρία κουτιά. Είχα επίσης προ-επιλέξει τα υφάσματα που μου έστειλαν. Ήταν από τη συλλογή Silverado Canyon της Kathy Engle.

You remember from my previous relative post that by Annie.com has also video tutorials for every point that might be “difficult” for us.

Θα θυμόσαστε ίσως από προηγούμενη σχετική μου ανάρτηση ότι η by Annie.com έχει επίσης και πολλά βιντεάκια που μας κάνουν εύκολα τα ίσως “δύσκολα” σημεία.

First of all, I went through the written instructions and cut everything. Cutting was the most time consuming part. But even there, Annie, provides us with labels for everything in her patterns, so that we do not mess with the cut pieces.

Πρώτα απόλα, διάβασα όλες τις γραπτές οδηγίες και έκοψα τα πάντα. Το κόψιμο ήταν το πιο χρονοβόρο κομμάτι. Αλλά ακόμα κι εκεί, η Αννι μας εφοδιάζει μέσα στο πατρόν με διάφορες ταμπελίτσες για να μην μπερδέψουμε τα κομμένα κομμάτια.

I free motion quilted on my Juki TL2010Q and sewed everything there, because there were some thick points. Of course I used the famous soft and stable!

Καπιτονάρισα ελεύθερα στην αγαπημένη Juki TL2010Q, όπως και έραψα τα πάντα, μια και είχα αρκετά χοντρά σημεία. Φυσικά χρησιμοποίησα το φημισμένο της soft and stable!

I then went through all videos to have an idea of the whole project

Μετά είδα όλα τα βιντεάκια για να έχω μια ιδέα για όλη τη δουλειά που είχα να κάνω

and started sewing. It was a lot of work because there were three pieces. Despite their size, they all demand the same amount of work, except from the quilting. I am very pleased with the result.

και άρχισα να ράβω. Ήταν πραγματικά πολλή δουλειά μια και έφτιαξα 3 κουτιά. Παρά το μέγεθός τους, απαιτούσαν όλα την ίδια δουλειά, εκτός από το καπιτονάρισμα. Είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένη

I also forgot to tell you that the boxes are nesting when empty.
