As stated on the relative Island Batik document, “Miniature Quilt is a wonderful way to explore a piecing or quilting technique or make a pattern without a huge investment in time and fabric. They are defined as small versions of full sized quilts and range in size between 12 to 24 inches on a side to being no larger than 24 inches square”.

We could use an existing pattern or design one of our own, which is I did. I chose a variety of IB fabrics of previous collections. Of course I could use smaller pieces but I am away from home….

using Thermore batting, sent to me by Hobbs in my last box. I like this batting a lot while making wall hangings. I put it double and when quilted densely, it stands beautifully, whereas when quilted more lightly, it gives a nice relief.
