I am copying from Island Batik relative document: “Use the Studio 180 Design tool you received in your second Ambassador box to make a quilt of any size! The tool you received is designed to make a specific unit in many different sizes, so you can work with small units to make a miniature or large units to make a large quilt. The choice is yours.

Το εργαλείο που πήρατε είναι σχεδιασμένο να φτιάχνει ένα συγκεκριμένο τετράγωνο σε διαφορετικά μεγέθη. Ετσι μπορείτε να φτιάξετε μικρά κομμάτια για να φτιάξετε ένα κουίλτ μινιατούρα ή μεγάλα για να φτιάξετε ένα μεγάλο πάπλωμα. Η επιλογή είναι δική σας”

I got the Corner Pop ruler. This ruler makes folded corners. On the following photo you may see on the frame the many blocks that can be made with this ruler. You may see the details on how to use it on this video.

Εγώ πήρα τον χάρακα Corner Pop ruler. Ο χάρακας κάνει τετράγωνα με “διπλωμένες” γωνίες. Στην παρακάτω φωτογραφία βλέπετε γύρω-γύρω στο περίγραμμα όλα τα τετράγωνα που μπορούν να γίνουν με αυτόν τον χάρακα. Ενώ σε αυτό το βιντεάκι μπορείτε να δείτε περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες.

The fabrics we should use for this challenge is the Spring Collection: Autumn Wings by Kathy Engle.

Τα υφάσματα που έπρεπε να χρησιμοποιήσουμε είναι από την Ανοιξιάτικη Συλλογή: Τα φτερά του Φθινοπώρου, σχεδιασμένα από την Kathy Engle.

We could make any size quilt but it had to include at least 30 blocks made using our new ruler. I studied a lot my ruler. Debbie Tucker has videos on how to use her rulers.

Μπορούσαμε να κάνουμε ένα κουίλτ οποιουδήποτε μεγέθους, με την προϋπόθεση να έχει τουλάχιστον 30 κομμάτια φτιαγμένα με τον συγκεκριμένο χάρακα. Η Ντεμπ Τάκερ έχει και βιντεάκι για τον κάθε χάρακα ξεχωριστά.

Off course as always I was inpsired by the fabrics and I came up with a fall design that I designed it in my EQ8 program.

Φυσικά και όπως κάθε φορά εμπνεύστηκα από τα υφάσματα και σχεδίασα στο EQ8 ένα πανελάκι για το φθινόπωρο.

First of all I will show you how I used my ruler. I thought that this folded corner is very suitable to make a fence. Therefore I came up with four fences. I also used the ruler to make all the house blocks on the frame. Take a look at how easy it is to use the ruler and have perfect blocks.

Πρώτα απόλα θα σας δείξω στις παρακάτω φωτογραφίες πώς χρησιμοποίησα τον χάρακά μου. Σκέφτηκα από την πρώτη στιγμή ότι αυτή η τεχνική ταίριαζε σε έναν φράχτη. Ετσι λοιπόν έκανα 4 φράχτες και όλα τα τετράγωνα με τα σπιτάκια που έβαλα στην εξωτερική φάσα. Δείτε πόσο εύκολο είναι να έχεις τέλεια τετράγωνα. Φυσικά αυτές οι τεχνικές γίνονται και χωρίς ειδικούς χάρακες, αλλά όταν τους έχεις, λύνουν χέρια.

I appliqued a lot of autumn themes. In free motion technique or satin stitch. The final size is about 46″ * 30″ and it is a good pattern for the autumn to come. Off course with these fabulous fabrics.

Απλικάρισα μερικά φθινοπωρινά θέματα. Με ελεύθερο απλικάρισμα ή πλακέ. Το τελικό μέγεθος είναι περίπου 1,15 επί 75 εκ. και είναι ένα όμορφο σχέδιο για το επόμενο φθινόπωρο. Φυσικά με αυτά τα καταπληκτικά υφάσματα.

Ι used a piece of this batting sent to me by Hobbs in my box, in order to quilt it.

Χρησιμοποίησα ένα κομμάτι από την παρακάτω βάτα που ήρθε με το τελευταίο κουτί μου από τη Hobbs

For the quilting I used Aurifil thread.

Για το καπιτονάρισμα χρησιμοποίησα κλωστές Aurifil.

I made everything in my Husqvarna Epic 980Q using as always Schmetz needles.

Φυσικά τα έφτιαξα όλα στη Χουσκβάρνα μου Epic 980Q χρησιμοποιώντας όπως πάντα βελόνες Schmetz.

I like my autumn quilt a lot. Here you may see the result. It is already washed, therefore the interesting quilting result.

Μου άρεσε το φθινοπωρινό μου κουιλτάκι. Το βλέπετε ήδη πλυμένο, γι αυτό και το τόσο ενδιαφέρον για μένα τουλάχιστον ανάγλυφο.

Crows and squirells are made in freee motion embroidery, as I did not want to have a very strong black color on my quilt.

Τα κοράκια και ο σκίουρος κεντήθηκαν με ελεύθερο κέντημα μηχανής, μια και ειδικά για τα κοράκια δεν ήθελα να απλικάρω ένα σκληρο μαύρο χρώμα.

I like so much the small house!

  16. Thank you for sharing this delightful quilt! I especially love the house! This autumn fabric is perfect for this quilt. I am so sorry for all the suffering caused by the wildfires. I’m glad that quilting can bring a bit of joy in this sad time.
