Ελεύθερο μέγεθος και αυτόν τον μήνα. Ο περιορισμός μας; Να χρησιμοποιήσουμε τρία διαφορετικά πάχη κλωστής, από αυτά που μας έστειλε η Aurifil μέσα στο πακέτο μας.

Do you remember previous month’s pillow? Since I like so much the celery fabric that my favorite Island Batik had sent me, I thought of making another pillow to keep company to the first one. So, I took my fabric, I used an interfacing and I drew a leaf.

Θυμόσαστε το μαξιλάρι του προηγούμενου μήνα; Ε, μια και μου άρεσε τόσο το celery, το ύφασμα που μου είχαν στείλει τα αγαπημένα Ιsland Batik και που χρησιμοποίησα τον προηγούμενο μήνα, σκέφτηκα να του κάνω κι ένα αδελφάκι. Πήρα λοιπόν το ύφασμά μου, του έβαλα από πίσω ενισχυτικό και μετά σχεδίασα από πάνω φύλλα από το φυτό φυλλόδεντρο.

Instead of using thiw year’s thred, I remembered the set from last year that contained every weight of Aurifil thread in the same green color.

Αντί να χρησιμοποιήσω τις φετινές κλωστές, θυμήθηκα αυτές που ήταν σε περσινό πακέτο και ήταν στο ίδιο χρώμα όλα τα πάχη.

First of all I handembroidered in stem stitch the inside of the leaves. I used 12wt.

Πρώτα απ’ όλα κέντησα τα νεύρα των φύλλων με βελονιά ρίζα, χρησιμοποιώντας την κλωστή νούμερο 12 που είναι αρκετά χοντρή, σαν λεπτό κοτόν περλέ.

I then used the 6ply thread and threaded it through the presser foot.

Στη συνέχεια πήρα την 6κλωνη κλωστή που είναι σαν μουλινέ στην ξύλινη μασουρίστρα και την πέρασα μέσα από το ειδικό ποδαράκι.

I also threaded my machine with the 50wt thread.

Μετά έβαλα και στη μηχανή μου κανονική κλωστή 50άρα.

I started fixing the thick thread with a zig zag. I made in this manner all the outlines of the leaves.

Ξεκίνησα να στερεώνω με βελονιά ζιγκ-ζαγκ το μουλινέ πάνω στα περιγράμματα.

I used thread 40 wt to pebble quilt on the background, so that I have the texture I wanted.

Τέλος χρησιμοποίησα την κλωστή Νο 40 για να καπιτονάρω γύρω από τα φύλα πάλι με βότσαλο, μια και μου αρέσει και δίνει την υφή που ήθελα.
