This is the last day of the blog hop and the day for my post. It’ s the time to reveal my AMAZING mystery fabrics, that were sent to me from Island Batik in this box.
I know that Christmas passed buy and some of you may not like to see a Christmas quilt, but you will enjoy the fabrics for sure. They are so beautiful, that I did not want to cut them in small pieces and lose their beauty. It is Candy Cane Lane collection that you may see in whole here
I thought of a story. I thought of the journey of a Christmas tree from the woods into our homes. And then I made a quilt out of this story.
Once upon a time there was a thick forest.
Some of the trees were ready to be cut and become Christmas trees.
I am opening a parenthesis here, to tell you that this forest was also full of deer.
Then the red tractors came and started loading the Christmas trees.
I am re-opening a parenthesis to tell you that the deer were so many that someone could also find them even just outside the village.
And it was such a nice village! Multicolor houses with weird roofs, doors and windows. Deers had arrived till the fences of the houses and were also looking at the many ornaments that they were allover the village.
And to tell you the truth, I managed to take a look at some houses through some windows and I saw that this village’s people loved so much the deer that they had put wallpapers on their walls to see them also inside.
In one of those houses they started opening the boxes with the ornaments. Big ornaments. I suppose their tree was also a big one.
But then, they started looking even among smaller ornaments, they also had from previous years.
and they decorated their tree. Unfortunately we can only see the bottom part of this tree from the window we are looking through. It is a very beautiful tree with small balls and lamps, on a red carpet. Under the tree we may see all the gifts of the family wrapped in beautiful papers ready to give joy to the members of the family
This was my little story and this is my top. I managed to quilt it before my surgery and here it is.
And since I wanted to thank you for having read the whole post, I am giving you two rolls from the box I have just opened and not yet revealed (you may see them below). You only need to follow my blog and leave a comment below. I will draw two winners on February the 16th.

The story is wonderful, and to know the quilt was finished before your surgery makes it all extra special. The way the rows unfolded as the story continued, I was waiting for the next line to know what would appear by the trees, , maybe you could print that out and keep it with your quilt. Many good wishes from a warm place down south in New Zealand.
