Last week I accepted Lorna’s invitation for testers (blog Sew fresh quilts). The design to be tested was the one shown below, that I totally adored.
I finished cutting and sewing in an afternoon.
The best part was that I thread-painted the needle of the sewing machine and the part that lifts the foot even if this is missing (lol)
You may see the result below. It is a quilt that gave me several hours of happy sewing and quilting. I am planning to put it in front of my bed, so that I can often see it and enjoy it.
I finished cutting and sewing in an afternoon.
I chose for the back side a matching fabric from my stash.
It took me again a few hours to quilt it. I pebble-quilted every free space, because this is my favorite quilting design for the time being.
I left “I” without quilting, I quilted a few hearts in the heart and I tried to “smudge” number 2.
A few “threads” for my spool
Vertical lines for the iron
“Smudging” again for the word “sew”
and finally parallel lines for the sewing machine

I chose for the binding a rather flat from color point of view fabric, because I did not want anything to distract the attention from the desing.
